side project: best PROPERTIES

This is one of a few side projects i did it last month, also the reason or excuses i didn't update for some time. hehee.. The customer request for a new logo for his new company - BEST PROPERTIES. And its also my first time doing a design for this type of client. Fresh to me and i want it to be more energetic or younger appearances especially for a new company. So start with sketches as usual...

They prefer earth tone or green colour as their corporate colour. Which also same as my thought, make it easier for me to work it out. The logo is simple, it actually represent the company name; BEST PROPERTIES, kind of the meaning behind. And these are my inspirations, my ideas come from...

Sorry to be MIA for almost a month. Im back here before all excuses or laziness cover me. hehe.. April was a busy month with many things happen together; the arrival of our Princess SU, Smarter KTKS coming back...etc. Most of it are great, and FC Barcelona heading to the UEFA Champion League final again is also counting in.

Of course im a fan of FCB, but it doesn't bring me any hate or anti reaction to Real Madrid. And im actually feeling sad for them. This photo just captured that kinda moment, or maybe the rain did it emotionally. Well that is not the end of the day, and im sure they will getting stronger in next season if Mourinho is staying. And we still need a competitor like them, right?

FC Barcelona 2007/08

Been busy last few weeks. Wanna make this post earlier, too bad for dragging so long. Finally have some time to organize these images together. Ok, you guys know Im a fan of FC Barcelona. As recalling back, I have following them since 2005, during the days when Ronaldinho leading or playing his magic in the club. I have been impressed by his 'Joga Bonito' style of playing and become a fan till now.

Since he has left the club at 2008 after his poor performance in World Cup 2006, but still earn people's respect on his contribution to the club. Ronaldinho's style of playing inspired me as a fan, and the idea or method they run the club make me love FC Barcelona even more. And this is the team photo of season 2007/08. But why this one or this season? hehe.. cause they are wearing my favourite FCB shirt in modern day, or maybe it’s the last one Ronaldinho worn before his departure?

Beside that, since the club founding, FC Barcelona has never worn any corporate advertisements on their shirt. On 14 July 2006, the club announced a five year agreement with UNICEF, which includes having the UNICEF logo on their shirts. The agreement has the club donate €1.5 million per year to UNICEF. And the club's motto, "Més que un club", meaning 'More than a club'. They really know how to make commercial and sport together, and doing equally good. Another example of great branding.

Noticed some details add on around the crest, which is a reason I love this shirt so much. 'CAMP NOU 1957-2007'; its actually a 50th anniversary celebration home shirt for their stadium - Camp Nou (Catalan for "our field", often reversed in English to become Nou Camp) located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It has a capacity of 98,787. The date and clip art of Camp Nou can refer to the label at bottom right of the shirt. This would be my dress code the day I travel to Barcelona or Spain. Or the first thing to pack! lol~

Honestly I brought the short sleeve version at first, and its the 'replica' or FAKE one! ahaha.. Short sleeve at 2007 (centre), long sleeve at 2009 (right), lastly found and brought her the girl cut last year (left). As you can compare, the colour scheme are deeper or dull on the centre fake one. But still not bad for wearing it to our futsal game. hehe..
